摘要

本文通过问卷调查的方式,考察性格类型对语法能力及其意识程度、语用能力及其意识程度的影响。结果显示:(1)内向型语言学习者的语法能力及其意识程度高于外向型学习者,但无论是组间差异还是相关性都没有达到显著水平;(2)外向型语言学习者的外语语用能力及其意识程度都显著高于内向型学习者,且性格类型与语用能力、语用意识程度之间都显著相关。

The relationship between Chinese English majors' personality and their pragmatic and grammatical competence/awareness

Abstract:

Personality has long been a hot research issue in SLA,but it is rarely studied in the field of L2 pragmatic acquisition.The present study examines the relationship between Chinese English majors' personality and their pragmatic and grammatical competence/awareness.Results show that the grammatical competence and awareness of introverted L2 learners are higher than those of extroverted L2 learners,though the difference is found to be statistically insignificant.It is also found that the pragmatic competence and awareness of extroverted L2 learners are significantly higher than those of introverted L2 learners.In addition,the correlation between personality and pragmatic competence has reached the significant level;the same situation also exists between personality and pragmatic awareness.
